Our studio is located in the gym hall of Ter Cleeff primary school. The entrance is at the back of the school, via Hedastraat. Look for the green gate.
Our classes are mainly taught in Dutch. However, our teachers can always provide explanations in English when needed, and international dancers are very welcome.
If a class is full, it may not be possible to enroll immediately. In that case, we can place you on a waiting list and will contact you as soon as a spot becomes available.
Age indications are a guideline. During a trial class, our teachers assess whether the level and group are a good fit. If needed, we may advise a different class to ensure the dancer feels comfortable, challenged and motivated.
Memberships can be cancelled in accordance with our general terms and conditions, with a notice period of one month. Cancellation is possible at three fixed moments during the dance season:
- From January 1st (cancellation deadline: November 30th)
- From April 1st (cancellation deadline: February 28th)
- From September 1st (start of the new dance season; cancellation deadline: June)
Cancellations must always be submitted by email. Once we receive your cancellation, we will confirm it and inform you of the official end date of the membership. If you have paid for the full season in advance, the amount from the cancellation date until the end of the season will be reimbursed.
Yes! We regularly work towards dance performances and presentations.
Every two years, we perform on the beautiful stage of the Stadsschouwburg Haarlem. In the years in between, the focus lies more on developing technique and skills, while still organizing dance presentations, open classes (watching lessons), dance competitions and open stages.
These moments give dancers the opportunity to show their development, creativity and stage experience. Our Demo Team dancers also participate in competitions and additional performances.
Our holidays follow the official school holidays of Noord-Holland. All holiday and day-off dates can be found on the Holidays page of our website.
For some classes, parents may be able to watch (partially), for example during the first class or a trial class. For most group classes, the focus is fully on the dancers, and we kindly ask parents to wait outside the studio.
Missed classes cannot be made up or refunded as a rule. Your spot in the class is reserved especially for you, and the teacher is paid accordingly.
In some cases, it may be possible to attend another class in the following week, provided there is availability. We always encourage you to contact us if you miss a class. In special situations, such as injury or long-term illness, we are happy to discuss possible solutions together.
For some classes, such as ballet, specific dancewear and shoes are recommended. For other classes, comfortable sportswear is sufficient. Please check the Dresscode page on our website for details per class.
We offer payment per installment or for the full season.
Good to know: if you sign up in the middle of the dance season (September through June), the system will initially show the full season price. You do not have to pay this amount. In the next step, the system automatically calculates the remaining amount for the classes you will still attend. You only pay for the classes you join, never for a full season when starting later.
Payments and class periods are in accordance with our general terms and conditions.
Yes, it is possible to join during the season if there is availability in the group. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about availability.
After the trial class, you can enroll via your personal Balance/Bueno account. Bueno is the administration system we use.
You can follow the same steps as when booking a trial class: go to the interactive schedule, select the class and choose the option to enroll. You will also receive an email from us asking for feedback and offering support with any questions you may have.
You can register for memberships and trial classes directly through our website. Go to the Schedule page and scroll down to view the interactive timetable.
Choose the date, time and class you would like to join and click on ‘sign up’. You can then select a trial class or enroll as a member. After completing your details, you will receive a confirmation email.
Class length depends on age and level:
- Toddlers: 30 minutes
- Young kids (4-6 years): 45 minutes
- From approximately 8 years old: 60 minutes
- From teen level: some classes are 75 minutes long, allowing enough time to work on additional skills, such as pointe work in ballet
Exact class times can be found in the schedule on our website.
Yes! You can sign up for a trial class via our website. Trial classes are free for children. Adults pay €10 for a trial class.
We offer classes for all ages and levels — from toddler dance (approximately 2.5–4 years), preschool ballet (4–6 years) and Dance Kids (4–6 years), to classical ballet, streetdance and modern dance for children and teens, as well as various classes for adults.
