Dress code

General rules

Dansstudio Balance Logo Wave Purple

Hair: We kindly ask that you tie your hair back in a ponytail, bun, braids, or any other style that keeps it out of your face during dance classes.

Punctuality: All classes start promptly on time. Please ensure you are dressed and ready in your dance attire before the class begins.

Children aged 3 to 8 years

Ballet Outfit: Pink leotard with an attached skirt. No tutus! Alternatively, a simple pink leotard with a small separate skirt.
Shoes: Pink Bloch Bunny Hop children’s ballet shoes.
Tights: Pink footed tights.

Children aged 8 to 21 years

Ballet Outfit: Black tank model So Danca 10713. Optionally, a thin voile skirt or black shorts.
Shoes: Pink Bloch leather or So Danca canvas ballet shoes.
Tights: Pink footed tights or convertible tights.

Boys

Shirt: Your choice or the Balletschool Balance blue shirt.
Pants: Your choice.
Shoes:

  • Classical: white.
  • Other classes: black, depending on age and style.

Streetdance

Shoes: High-top sneakers like Jaxs (or gym shoes).
Clothing: Sport pants and t-shirts (no outdoor clothing such as jeans or dresses).

Contemporary / Modern

Clothing: Comfortable clothing like leggings or joggers, and a t-shirt. For floor work, long-sleeved shirts and covered shoulders are recommended.
Feet: We wear socks or dance barefoot.

Urban

Clothing: Comfortable clothing such as leggings or joggers, and a t-shirt.
Shoes: Gym shoes. Please do not wear shoes that have been worn outside to keep the studio floor clean.

Heels

Clothing: Comfortable clothing like leggings or joggers, and a t-shirt.
Feet: We wear socks or dance barefoot for the warm-up.
Shoes: For beginners, we recommend boots with heels or heels that provide ankle support, with a heel height of no more than 9-10 cm and a stiletto heel (thin heel). During your first class, you can dance without heels. The instructor will provide advice on the best option for you, or you can bring heels from home that fit this description.

Second-Hand Ballet Shoes
